Processing process of sunflower seeds
According to different uses, sunflower seeds can be divided into two categories, namely, oil-based sunflower seeds, sunflower seeds and edible sunflowers. Oil sunflower is divided into conventional varieties and hybrid varieties. Generally, conventional varieties can keep their own seeds, but hybrids cannot. Oil sunflower seeds can be squeezed from oil, and oil residue (also known as "oil sunflower cake") can be used as protein feed. Sunflower trays and straws can also be used accordingly. Therefore, the sunflower seed oil press is widely used.
The oil extraction process of sunflower seeds is heat treatment. Heat treatment is one of the more important processes in the process of extracting oil. The material that is pressed after heat treatment is called hot pressing, and the material without heat treatment is called cold pressing. Sunflower seeds are mainly hot pressed, and the effect of heat treatment has a direct impact on the smooth progress of the entire oil production process, the level of oil yield, and the quality of oil and cakes. It is better to choose oil sunflower seeds one month after harvest. The hot-pressed oil sunflower can be squeezed after being evenly stir-fried until it is mature. It will affect the oil yield. The oil yield is higher when it is mature. And the squeezed oil is very fragrant and can be used as cold oil. Cold pressing refers to the direct physical pressing of the directly-grown oil sunflower, so that the oil produced has no fragrance and high water content, which is not easy to preserve.
